Starting September 2004 EmpirePoker players will be granted points for every tournament they play.
We've designed a point tracking system to rank our top tournament players for both single and multi table tournaments.

We are proud to Honor the Elite Players!

  • Top 100 monthly tournament players become Tournament Masters, every month.
  • Top 10 masters each month win a seat to the semi-annual "$50,000 Tournament masters FreeRoll", with 60 participants.

HOW TO QUALIFY AS A TOURNAMENT MASTER?

$50,000 Tournament Masters FreeRoll.

Win your place in our Special $50,000 Tournament Masters FreeRoll -60 top players play for $50,000!


On the 1st of every month, the 50 players with the highest number of points from each Tournament Masters category [50 players with the highest score, total of 100 players], single table tournaments and multi table tournaments, will receive the opportunity to face each other in the Tournament Masters Finals, where the last 10 players will earn their place to the semi-annual $50,000 Tournament Masters FreeRoll. The semi-annual $50,000 Tournament Masters FreeRoll will host the top 10 players from the last 6 months, total of 60 *players.
If the same player [exp: Player Z] appears in both categories at the top 50 Tournament Masters board, he will earn only one seat for the Tournament Masters Finals.

* If the same player will appear in more then 1 top 10 players list, he will earn only one seat for the Special semi-annual $50,000 Tournament Masters FreeRoll and his account will be credited with $500 for each extra seat he won.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We are using player's Rank in a Tournament, Total Number Of players in a tournament, and buy-in as factors determining points earned for any EmpirePoker tournament.

The EmpirePoker tournament rankings will showcase the players with the highest number of points in 2 categories: single table and multi table tournaments.

Top 50 results for each category, on monthly basis, will be published online over the Tournament Masters board.

Tournament Masters points are granted according to the following formulas:

Single Table Tournament Multi Table Tournament
Formula = SQRT {B}*(TN)/R

            SQRT= Square root
            B= Buy-In of a tournament
            TN=Total Number Of players in a tournament
            R=player's Rank in a Tournament.

For Example:

Dan plays in a $100 + $10 Single-Table tournament and finishes in the 5th place out of a field of 10 players.

Tournament Masters Points per this played single table tournament would be awarded as follows:

B: $100 (Buy-in)
TN: 10 (number of players)
R: 5 (Dan's Rank)

Formula =: SQRT {100}*(10/5)

            =SQRT {100}*(2)

            =10*2 = 20

Tournament Masters points awarded = 20 		Formula = SQRT {B}*(TN)/R

            SQRT= Square root
            B= Buy-In of a tournament
            TN=Total Number Of players in a tournament
            R=player's Rank in a Tournament.

For Example:

Dan plays in a $100 + $10 multi-Table tournament and finishes in the 5th place out of a field of 300 players.

Tournament Masters Points per this played multi table tournament would be awarded as follows:

B: $100 (Buy-in)
TN: 300 (number of players)
R: 5 (Dan's Rank)

Formula =: SQRT {100}*(300/5)

            =SQRT {100}*(60)

            =10*60 = 600

Tournament Masters points awarded = 600


Points will be accumulated from the 1st day of every month, 00:00 to the last day of every month, 11:59:59 PM ET.

All points from all tournaments that had Ended during the day (00:00 till 11:59 PM ET) will be updated and added to the players' total score.

The Tournament Masters Board Points would be updated daily and these rankings would be displayed in a
Monthly Tournament Masters Format.

The final Tournament Masters games, among the top 50 monthly finishers from each category [total of 100 players], will be held on the following dates:

December 2005 January 15th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET
January 2006 February 12th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET
February 2006 March 12th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET
March 2006 April 16th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET
April 2006 May 14th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET
May 2006 June 11th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET


The Final Tournament Masters game will be held in the special tournament lobby.

The special $50,000 semi-annual Tournament Masters FreeRoll among the top 10 finishers from each month [total of 60 players], will be held on:

December-May 2006 June 18th 2006, 16:00:00 PM ET

The special semi-annual $50,000 FreeRoll Tournament Masters game will be held in the special tournament lobby.

The Tournament Masters board is updated daily, to view the board current status click here.

To view your own current points total, go to the EmpirePoker client lobby, and click on "options" > "Tournament Masters".
